Dashboards

Project Timeline

A visual timeline is built up over the life of a project on the Story tab (see ‘Working in a Live Project’ in the ‘Converting Bids and Project Set-Up’ article), showing social value generated over time. This is useful for telling the story of a contract's delivery.

Project Dashboard

Once records have been approved, the project's Dashboard tab fills with live data.

Figure 1 A project dashboard with approved data

  • KPI tiles: customisable headline figures (between 3 and 12), each configured with a label and the underlying metric(s) to calculate against. Use the Value / Social Value toggle to switch between the amounts delivered and the social value they represent.
  • Value summary: the project value, STEV and SLEV percentages, and a breakdown of social and environmental value, local economic benefit and non-local economic benefit.
  • Record counts: Approved Records and Records to Approve.
  • Social Value Generated: a running total and a chart of social value over time. Hover over the line to see the value for a given month.
  • Evidence: a gallery of evidence images added to the project, which can be clicked through.
  • Further panels (lower down): Incomplete Reporting Slots by data collector, useful for identifying who needs a reminder; Target vs Achieved, giving an at-a-glance view of progress; and Thrive Recommendations.
  • Social Value Generated: the total and its growth over time.
  • Social Value by Business Unit: the value delivered by each business unit, with its percentage share.
  • Social Value by Project: the value delivered by each project. Select Show Data to see the figures behind the chart.
  • Social Value By Year: the share of social value delivered in each year.

Organisation-Wide Dashboards and Filtering

The Dashboard in the navigation menu shows data across the whole organisation, rather than a single project.

Use the filters at the top to narrow the view by Project, Business Unit, County, Metric, Source or Date Range, then select Filter. Your organisation's logo appears underneath, followed by KPI tiles with the same Value / Social Value toggle as the project dashboard.

Further down, a set of charts compares performance across the organisation:

Together, these show which parts of the business are delivering the most social value.
