Logging In and Managing Users

Thrive is a web-based application, so there is nothing to install. You can access it from any modern web browser using the login details provided by your administrator.

Once you have signed in, a welcome panel lists the Thrive modules. Modules you have access to appear as active, underlined links. Modules shown in grey (in the example below, Volunteering, Donation Management and School Outreach) are not enabled for your account.

Two modules are most relevant to day-to-day use:

  • Social Impact Module: the main working area, covering projects, metrics, estimates, reporting and more.
  • Admin Module: for managing users and permission levels.

Below the module list you will also find links to Change my password, view the Password policy, and Log out.

Managing users in the Admin Module

Opening the Admin Module shows a list of the users in your account. The menu along the top of the screen filters the list by user type.

Field Management

Merge entries in custom fields

For each user, the list shows their name, email address, user type, the modules they can access and the date they last logged in. Select Edit to change a user's details, or Add User at the bottom of the list to create a new one. The Configure password policy link underneath the list sets the password rules for your account.

Selecting Add User or Edit opens the Add or edit system administrator screen.
